Book the Alcázar first
Official timed tickets. The cathedral can often be same-day; the palace cannot in spring.
Eat on Spanish time
Lunch 2–4pm, dinner after 9pm. Tourist menus at 7pm are a tell. Follow the noise after dark.
Summer is a morning city
Monuments at opening. Courtyards and museums at 3pm. Tapas after the stones have cooled.
AVE, not a same-day Alhambra
Madrid–Seville is 2.5 hours. Seville–Granada is not a casual afternoon if you have a timed Nasrid Palaces slot.
